DUFFA Hat Tournament - 26th & 27th July 2008

This year, on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of July, Didsbury Ultimate Frisbee For Amateurs will sponsor our first tournament, DUFFA Hat! The tournament will last all day Saturday and most of Sunday, with the final played late Sunday afternoon. The tournament will take place at the Burnage Rugby Club, Varley Park, Manchester. Hat tournaments are fun and relaxing way to play ultimate. The focus is on spirit, enjoying the game, and playing with people who are not usually on the same team as you. For more about what a hat tournament is and how DUFFA Hat will be organized, click here

Tournament fees are £16 per person for the full weekend, and includes a free t-shirt and camping. Great prizes will also be included for the teams that are tournament finalists and for the MVP on each team. DUFFA Hat 2008 is currently limited to 160 players, so sign up now!

Please note:- Your place is not reserved until payment is received. We accept payments online, using Google Checkout, or you can send a cheque if you prefer. For payment by cheque, please register online and follow the instructions.

We are taking applications from teams and individuals. Register Here!

Camping is available on the site (Friday and Saturday night), completely free for tournament participants. Showers are available. Also, nearby hotels are listed here if you would prefer to sleep in a bed. A Tesco is near the site. The clubhouse at the site sells food and drink, and the clubhouse bar is open until 2 am. Plenty of parking is available.

Please plan to bring water, sun cream, clothes and trainers to play ultimate in, and some money for food. If you plan to shower or camp on the site, remember to bring the things you will need for doing so!

Saturday morning sign-in will begin at 8:30 am. Please plan to be early so you can meet your team and warm up. The first game is scheduled at 10 am.
